Joannis Calumenos

Joannis Calumenos discovers new aspects of himself by sculpting works of strict geometric plasticity, driven by emotion. He is inspired by society and its stereotypes, as well as by the relationship between humans and their emotions and, by extension, their environment. He seeks fulfillment through art. He graduated from AKTO as a graphic designer with distinction and also holds a BA from Middlesex University London. With skills in 3D conceptualization and familiarity with colors and materials, he has worked as a conservator of antiquities and works of art, artistic curator, and 3D artist. This year, he decided to embark on his own artistic journey. With 25 years of experience in both digital and traditional techniques, he combines contrasting, unconventional materials and subjects, presenting minimalist works characterized by harmony and balance. He lives and works in Athens.
