Alia Corm

Alia Corm, is a self-taught artist born in Beirut 1979. She moved with her family to France in 1983. She completed her education in Paris with Master’s degrees in History and Cultural Heritage management as well as a B.A. in History of Art. She worked in the cultural field before moving to Cyprus in 2012. Moving to Cyprus has allowed her to reconnect with nature and to dedicate her time to painting, abstract acrylic and ink compositions being her favorite art form. She held solo exhibitions in Larnaca and at the French Institute of Cyprus in Nicosia, as well as several group exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece, and an exhibition in Paris. In 2022, she won an international art competition, Tuscia in Fiore Vernissage. The same year she facilitated during two months painting workshops for a festival in Larnaca, introducing to the participants the theme of Identity and Belonging.
