Participate with Chili Art Gallery in Art Thessaloniki 2024

Chili Art Gallery @ Art Thessaloniki 2024
Curator: Paris Kapralos
Organizational Support & Submission Process Management: ARTgrID

ARTgrID is providing organizational support for Chili Art Gallery’s participation in the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024, which will take place for the 7th time in Thessaloniki in the spring of 2024. Once again, it will showcase exceptional works of Greek artists to visitors from around the world, with a focus on the art market of the Balkans and the Middle East. Chili Art Gallery will participate with a prominent booth, featuring a limited number of artists selected with strict curatorial criteria by Mr. Paris Kapralos.

We invite you to submit your works: if selected, your work will be showcased to thousands of Greek and international visitors, collectors, professionals from the international Art Market, and art enthusiasts who gather at every event organized by the institution of Art at TIF/HELEXPO.

Terms & Conditions / Eligibility / Selection Process

Subject & Types of Artworks
The exhibition at the Chili Art Gallery booth at the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024 is open to various forms of art. We accept works of Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Printmaking, digital art, as well as wall-mounted constructions and installations.

Exhibition Terms & Conditions
Artists who have reached the age of 18, regardless of their origin, nationality, or place of residence, are eligible to participate in the exhibition.

Artwork Selection
ARTgrID manages the initial submissions on behalf of the Curator. We will respond to all artists who submit their work in the specified format, but the final selection is the responsibility of the Curator. The goal is to ensure the best possible presentation, both aesthetically and conceptually. The arrangement of artworks, space dimensions, and other related matters are not subject to negotiation or discussion but are part of the curatorial decision-making process, aimed at ensuring the overall success of the Chili Art Gallery’s presentation at the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024. Incomplete or insufficient submissions will not receive a response.

Transportation / Insurance / Artworks requirements

The artworks will be sent to two designated collection points that will be announced to the selected artists. It is the responsibility and expense of the artist to arrange for the transportation. ARTgrID and Chili Art Gallery staff will assist by providing all necessary information. The artist is responsible for all arrangements and costs related to framing, packaging, any customs duties, and transportation to and from the collection points.

The insurance of the artworks will only cover their presence at the exhibition. The insurance of the artworks is valid for their sale price from the day and time they are received at the Art Fair venue in Thessaloniki until Monday, May 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

Artworks on paper should be delivered framed, and artworks on canvas should be stretched. A frame refers to the border that surrounds an artwork. The frame can be made of wood, metal, or synthetic materials and may or may not include glass/plexiglass/acrylic. There should be wire on the back of the frame for hanging purposes. Specialized personnel will unpack, install, and, if necessary, repackage your artworks after the exhibition.

Promotion / Social & Mass Media Comunication

The artworks selected for the exhibition will be promoted online before the start of the exhibition. The exhibition will be showcased through social media, our company’s website, press releases, and communication with sponsors both locally in Thessaloniki and nationwide. General and special actions will be taken, such as interviews with participants, etc.

CATALOGS
Chili Art Gallery’s participation will be announced through the official website of the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024. The announcement will include the participating artists. Similarly, Chili Art Gallery’s participation will be featured in pages of the printed catalog-guide that the Art Fair will publish. Regardless of the Art Fair’s provisions, ARTgrID will publish a bilingual commemorative catalog-book in digital format with detailed information about the artists, artworks, and Chili Art Gallery’s participation in the Art Fair. It will be available to all visitors for free through QR signage and, after the exhibition, through a permanent link accessible to everyone.

In the event of a sale, Chili Art Gallery retains a 35% commission. The remaining 65% of the agreed-upon price (excluding VAT) will be paid to the artist within 4 weeks.
