Organizational Support & Submission Process Management: ARTgrID

ARTgrID is providing organizational support for Chili Art Gallery‘s participation in the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024, which will take place for the 7th time in Thessaloniki in Spring 2024. Once again, it will showcase exceptional works of Greek artists to visitors from around the world, with a focus on the art market of the Balkans and the Middle East. Chili Art Gallery will participate with a booth in a prominent location, featuring a limited number of artists carefully selected by Mr. Paris Kapralos.

We invite you to submit your artworks. If selected, your work will be exhibited to thousands of Greek and international visitors, collectors, professionals from the international art market, and art enthusiasts gathered at the Thessaloniki International Fair/HELEXPO art event.

Artworks eligibility/ Exhibition Terms & Conditions / Selection

Theme & Types of Artworks
The exhibition at the Chili Art Gallery’s booth at the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024 is open to various forms of art, including Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Printmaking, and Digital Art.

Exhibition Terms & Conditions
Artists who have reached the age of 18, regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, or place of residence, are eligible to participate in the exhibition.

Selection of Artworks
We will review all submissions that meet our specified requirements. However, the final selection will be at the discretion of the Curator, aiming to ensure the best presentation both aesthetically and conceptually. Please note that matters such as the available space dimensions, placement of artworks, and other related issues are not subject to negotiation but are part of the curatorial selection process, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the overall success of Chili Art Gallery’s presentation at the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024. Incomplete or insufficient submissions will not receive a response.”

Transportation / Insurance / Framing & Stretching

The artworks will be sent to two collection points in Greece, which will be announced to the selected artists, at the artist’s own responsibility and expense. ARTgrID and its Chili Art Gallery staff will assist by providing all necessary information to the artist. The artist is responsible for all arrangements and costs related to framing, packaging, any customs expenses, and transportation to and from the collection points.

The artworks will be insured for the duration of the exhibition only. The insurance coverage for the artworks is valid for their sale value from the day and time they are received at the Art Fair venue in Thessaloniki until Monday, May 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

Artworks on paper must be delivered framed, and canvas works must be stretched. By “frame” we mean the structure that surrounds an artwork. The frame can be made of wood, metal, or synthetic materials, with or without glass/plexiglass/transparent acrylic. There should be wire on the back of the frame for hanging. Specialized personnel will unpack, install, and, if necessary, repackage your artworks after the exhibition.

Promotion

The artworks selected for the exhibition will be promoted online before the exhibition’s start date. The exhibition will be showcased through social media, our company’s website, press releases, and through Communication Sponsors both locally in Thessaloniki and nationally, with general and specific activities (participant interviews, etc.).

Exhibition Catalogs
Chili Art Gallery’s participation will be announced through the official website of the Art-Thessaloniki International Fair 2024. The announcement will include the participating artists. Similarly, Chili Art Gallery’s participation will be featured in pages of the printed catalog-guide that the Art Fair will publish. Regardless of the offerings of the Art Fair, ARTgrID will produce a bilingual commemorative catalog-book in digital format with detailed information about the artists, artworks, and Chili Art Gallery’s participation in the Art Fair. This catalog will be available to all visitors for free through QR signage during the exhibition and subsequently through a permanent link for everyone.
