Efrosyni Katsoura was born in Nicosia in 1980. She studied Classical Philology at the University of Cyprus, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree (1998-2002) and a Magister Artium postgraduate degree (2003-2005). She also completed postgraduate studies in Deaf Education International at the University of Leeds (2013-2015). She taught philology for ten years in secondary schools in Nicosia and has worked for the past eight years at the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of Cyprus. Her interests focus on research into the historical evolution of the Greek language through Ancient Greek Literature, foreign languages, Archaeology and Mythology. She also pursues poetry, novel writing and painting in oils and acrylics. She has participated in two group painting exhibitions in Nicosia, in 2013 and 2014, and one in Athens in 2026.
