“Spyros Paltoglou is a professional dancer and conceptual painter whose artistic practice explores the relationship between the body, movement, memory and creation. Drawing on his experience of movement, he transfers an idea onto the canvas using his own body as a painting tool, with his shoulder blade serving as the primary means of his artistic process. The creative process takes place in a state of deep concentration and clear intention, where movement operates intuitively and leads to an abstract outcome. Each work emerges through a dialogue between what the body knows and what is revealed at the moment of creation. His painting forms a unique imprint of bodily memory, transforming experience, energy and intention into matter, trace and image. Through this practice, Spyros redefines the body as a vessel of memory and a creative tool.
