Styliani (Stella) Kakkava was born in Larissa. She studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1984 to 1989, specialising in painting under Professor Vangelis Dimitreas. She also attended printmaking courses with Professors Xenophon Sachinis and Manolis Giannadakis, as well as photography with Professor Georgios Katsangelos. In 2018, she began postgraduate studies in the Department of Architecture at the University of Thessaly, completing the Master’s programme in Post-Industrial Design in 2019. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, and her works are included in private collections. In 1989, she designed the sets and costumes for Harold Pinter’s Old Times at the Experimental Theatre of Larissa.
