The initiative for the promotion of ink-based art \u201cInk on Paper\u201d announces its 12th exhibition under the same title, which will take place at Chili Art Gallery in late March 2026, and invites visual artists to submit their works for consideration and participation.<\/p>

The exhibition is curated by Paris Kapralos.<\/strong><\/p>

The official languages of the exhibition are Greek and English, and all published material will be bilingual, including the commemorative exhibition catalogue-book and the international online exhibition that will run in parallel with the physical exhibition in Athens.<\/p>

Eligible Works<\/strong>
Submissions may include works of painting, printmaking, and drawing in ink on paper. All relevant techniques are accepted, including \u2013 but not limited to \u2013 water-based media, Indian ink, line drawing, hatching, pointillism\/stippling, wash drawing, brush work, contour drawing, calligraphy, lettering, collage, and sumi-e.<\/p>

Who May Apply<\/strong>
Artists aged 18 and over may submit their work and participate in the exhibition, regardless of nationality or place of residence.<\/p>

Submission Requirements<\/strong>
Please send the following by email to inkonpapergr@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong> with the subject line INK 12<\/strong>:<\/p>

(1) Photographs of up to two available works, each submitted as a separate high-resolution JPG file of large size and good clarity. Please note: the submitted works are not indicative. If selected, you may exhibit only the work(s) you have submitted. Works on paper must be photographed without frame or glass.<\/p>

(2) Details of each work, clearly referencing the corresponding file name (e.g. A1.JPG), listed in the following order and separated by commas: Artist\u2019s full name, Title of the work, Materials and technique, Dimensions (in centimetres, Height x Width), Year of completion.<\/p>

(3) Your contact details: Full name, email address, telephone number, and place of residence (city or town; if residing in Greece, please also state the regional unit; if residing abroad, please state the country).<\/p>

\u2013 Clarifications, queries and questions strictly concerning the submission process must be sent in writing to the above email address and will be answered within 24 hours.
\u2013 Information regarding the organisation of the exhibition and the proposal that will be made to you, if selected, will be provided only to selected artists after the submission and selection process \u2013 not beforehand. Submissions that do not include all requested materials, or do not follow the specified format and submission method, will not be considered.
\u2013 If selected, you will be contacted promptly via reply email containing full information regarding the participation procedures.
\u2013 The submission deadline is not necessarily intended for the creation of new works; you may submit existing works that you believe represent you, are relevant to the theme, and that you wish to present within the framework of the exhibition.<\/p>

About the \u201cInk on Paper\u201d Exhibition Series<\/strong>
\u201cInk on Paper\u201d is an initiative of visual art actions, exhibitions and events established by Art Curator Paris Kapralos in 2019, aiming to promote the use of a wide range of ink- and paper-based media in the visual arts in Greece, in line with international practice. Within the framework of the initiative, exhibitions are organised with the dual aim of presenting noteworthy visual artists working with these media to the art-loving public, and of familiarising and informing artists about the contemporary possibilities of these media, fostering collaborations within Greece and internationally, and more. About the Curator<\/strong>
Paris Kapralos is an Art Curator, Founder and Administrator of the ARC – Art Revisited Collective<\/a><\/strong>, Founder of ARTgrID<\/a><\/strong>, and co-founder & publisher of Arts & Antiques CCR<\/a><\/strong>. He was born in 1975 and grew up in Athens, where he lives and works. He studied Economics (Athens) and Graphic Arts (Staffordshire, England). He initially worked as a financial journalist (1999\u20132006), later becoming active in the organisation of business technology conferences, and in 2011 shifted his professional focus to the field of Art. He subsequently collaborated with the Myr\u00f3<\/a><\/strong> group (Myr\u00f3 Gallery, Myr\u00f3 Antiques House, Greek Marble Initiative, 2011\u20132017). Since 2018 he has worked as an independent organiser and curator of visual art exhibitions and events. He served as representative of the Greek Section of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) from 2019 to 2022. He has curated and organised more than 200 exhibitions, symposia, visual art actions, projects and participations in Greece and abroad.
