Monday, December 2, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Yiannis Bartsokas is the newest member of the emerging community on the action platform Ink On Paper<\/a><\/strong>, which highlights visual artists whose primary media of expression are ink and paper.<\/p>

Yiannis Bartsokas, a self-taught visual artist, was born and lives in Athens. He studied graphic design and has been painting for as long as he can remember. A lover of realism and surrealism, he creates murals, graffiti, paintings, and artwork on shoes, clothes, and accessories. He collaborated with Converse for the “Create Your Own” service. He teaches painting and printmaking and has participated in exhibitions and competitions, earning distinctions.<\/p>

In his artistic statement, he emphasizes about his work: “I\u2019m a child of the city, which is why my inspiration comes from its images. I want to depict my themes exactly as I live them\u2014with their flaws and contrasts. I prefer ink as a medium of expression because it allows me to give depth to my works with many shadows, making them overall darker, which is what I aim for.<\/em>“<\/p>
