Chili Art Gallery (Thiseio, Athens, Greece), in collaboration with Art Curator Paris Kapralos<\/a><\/strong>, issues an Open Call for visual artists to submit their works for participation in a season-ending exhibition at the Athenian art venue. The exhibition will open in early July and run through September. In parallel, it will be featured online for international audiences via the platform ARTgrID<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>

Accepted Works<\/strong>. The exhibition welcomes submissions of paintings, printmaking, photography, digital art, collage, art objects, ceramics, mosaics, and sculptures.<\/p>

Eligible Themes<\/strong>. Indicatively, but not exclusively, human-centered works are eligible, as well as landscape art, travel photography, and works capturing the human imprint in symbolic or semiotic ways. Also welcome are constructions and art objects made of materials evoking summer, vacation, childhood, or the inner child we all carry to our end. Conceptual works are also acceptable.<\/p>

Who Can Submit<\/strong>. Artists over the age of 18 residing in Greece or Cyprus, regardless of origin, may submit works. The official languages of the exhibition are Greek and English.<\/p>

Summer: the word that holds within it childhood memories, endless hours of carefree play, seaside scents, and warm afternoons that seem to last forever. Summer vacations are not just a “pause” from everyday life. They are a deeply human need \u2013 a necessary antidote to the pace of modern living. Perhaps because those early childhood holidays gave us something indelible: the experience of freedom and discovery.
According to Psychology, shared family experiences enhance cohesion and reduce stress. As adults too, summer offers us the luxury of doing “nothing” without guilt, of reconnecting with ourselves, with nature, and with others. It\u2019s not laziness \u2013 it\u2019s recharging. It\u2019s a cultural asset. Perhaps the sweetest invention of modernity. Essential. Irreplaceable. Summer.<\/p>
